In 2000, The Elle Foundation created a very special award for Dr. Deborah C, Mash, Phd in Neurology and Pharmacology. She is a retired professor of Neurology , at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and the Chairman of the Brain Endowment Bank. Dr. Mash is awarded for excellence as discoverer of Coca-Ethylene and the Noribogaine metabolite. She created a novel ibogaine detoxification therapy for opioid use disorder patients.
